There’s not much time between now and when Google will eventually, officially unveil Android L in its entirety. While we are still speculating over a plausible name for Android 5.0, which we thought would be divulged over the weekend, new screenshots have not only given us new perspective here, but also shone new light on the tech specs of the new Nexus smartphone.

The new Nexus has been called by a variety of names in the press, just like the next version of Android. You’ve most likely heard of the Nexus 6, which would actually make sense if the device was 6 inches. But this is questionable. Moreover, there are some legal problems in respect to this name, which is why Google might opt to go for the name Nexus X. The most realistic of all assumptions would be that Google is about to present the Nexus 5 (2014), and this is exactly what we see in the new leaked screenshots from EMT leaks. The device would pack a 5.2 inch display with a QHD display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM, a 12 MP camera and come, of course, with Android 5.0 Lion.

You heard it: Lion! For a long time we thought it would go under the name of lollipop, and the last time we heard, lemon meringue pie had been rumored. Lion, which is a delicious chocolate bar from Nestle, had never really been mentioned before. It really wouldn’t be that absurd either, considering that KitKat is a Nestle product as well, and Google has certainly always considered marketing prospects when choosing its past sugar-coated names.

But don’t start salivating just yet: these pictures could be easily faked, and we’re not dealing with hard facts here. Nevertheless, both the Nexus 5 (2014) tech specs, and the name for Android L, seem plausible.
