The hardware assessing application CPU-Z has just confirmed that the Nexus 9 will be powered by the Tegra K1 processor
The technology enthusiasts have been awaiting the launch of the next generation of the Nexus tablet but Google has been tight-lipped about the same. But that hasn’t stopped the leaks from hitting the interweb and the latest piece of information that has reached the interweb lends credibility to the previous leaks. Some of the specs of the Nexus 9 tablet have just been leaked through a hardware-assessing application.
The latest leak through the CPU-Z application has revealed that taking charge of the processing department in the device will be a Nvidia Tegra K1 64 bit chipset. The chipset comes with a 2.5 GHz quad core CPU and a 192 core Kepler GPU and the duo work in sync to blow the competition out of the water. The 2.2 GHz non-64 bit version of the chipset tops majority of the benchmarks and with this one under the hood, things are only going to get better.
HTC is believed to be the company which has partnered with Google to launch the next iteration of the tablet which will have an 8.9 inch display with a resolution of 2048 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4:3. It would translate into a pixel density of 281 ppi. There would be a 3GB/4GB RAM taking charge of the multitasking department. At the back of the tablet will be an 8MP camera with an LED flash and the same is expected to be one of the better performers among tablets.
It will run on Android L and will be the poster boy for the next iteration of Android. Google has been known to price its Nexus devices competitively but the Nexus 9 is expected to be priced at par with the competitors like the next generation of the iPad Mini. HTC would still regret the fact that it didn’t partner with Google for earlier generation of the Nexus tablet but it can set things right with a competitively priced top of the line performer.
